WORLDCUP (post 8)

The last time that Chile went to world cup was in 1998 (to world cup in France twelve years ago). We have to remember that in 1987; Chile was punished for made a scandal in the court, our goalkeeper simulated to be injured by a firework, for this our country could not to participate in two worldcup (Italia 90 and USA 94) it was terrible for us. A think that our society was depressed during that time, because the soccer it’s an element very important in the life of countries as own. To all of this things, and also because it’s a great joy to all the people, I think that it’s very relevant that Chile have going to world cup.

Now, our situation changed because Chile it’s a new a soccer team: the players are more sure than previous teams, we are making a play with identity, and the level of our players it’s better. My favorite player is Jorge (el mago) Valdivia, because I think that he’s very talented with the ball, is intelligent to play (has good vision to the game) and is crafty in the field.

For the world cup I going to be in classes, but nothing will be a barrier to watch by T.V. the most important games. I’m going to try to hang out with my friend in a home or other place, to drink a beer, cook “choripanes” and to enjoy of the football. I hope that our country wins the cup, I have Faith in it, because now our team it’s a great team.

In relation to if I would go to South africa, I Just can say that I hope a miracle and I’m go to pray to it.

ESSAY self evaluation of my academic year

Introduction

In this essay I going to speak about my self evaluatiom of my academic year 2009. I want to tell, how was my year; the tihings that I learned, my opinion about the differents subjects, teachers and the people I met the works that a i did make, and how all of this has been internalized to my life. Also, in this essay I going to say how was my experience on terrain, because a went to valle del Choapa and Petoca povience, to make a diagnosis social and a study about patrimonial food respectively.

Body

In academic terms, my experience was very relaxed because I don’t like overburden of things to do, I like take time to do other things (stay with my son, make sports, work in other thinks, travel and learn about the life). My first semester was a little boring, I learned very important things in estructuralism subjects with Rolf teacher, Rolf it´s a very good person and he teach me a lot of things about anthropolgy and life, also in these semeter I met juan LeBert that is other great person that gave me new knowledge, but in general the firs semeter was in academics terms was boring becuase I was a little tired of the university and I don’t want study a lot. So anyway, I passed all subjects.

In my second semester, the reality has been the same than last semester. I don’t want study more,I feell so tired and I want time to make the thinks that I like. So the antrhopoly was my election and have finish to study it, any way a feel so happy to be in university, integrating a knowledge that olny a few persons can access to it. In this semester I traveled to Valle del Choapa, and I met very beutifull people and great places, I learned abuot traditional practices and lifestyle of rurality, I lived a very special experince to my life in there zone. Also I went to Petorca to make a study about ptrimonial food, this job is have been funded to FIA (an apartament of Ministry of Agriculture), I’m working with others mates, and we are in charge of teacher Sonia Montecino. This have a very good experince to learn the work of anthropologists in field.

In general, this have been a good semester and I hope to approve all subjects.

Conclution

My academic year has been difficult, becuase I feel so tired to study, I need make thing that make me feel good, that make me feel live and complete. Any way, the university have been a great experience where I have know a lot of things and I met a lot of people important. Specialy a say thank to experience in terrain because was very important for my life.

CHALLENGES IN YOUR DISCIPLINE

My discipline has a social responsibility, because it’s preoccupied to study to people and the relations that they make. I believe that the anthropology is a career that can see especial things, that may help us to live in best conditions. For this, is very important that our area will improve to future, and will create a new challenges to make best contributions to social life.

Our discipline mostly does not use technology, the articles of technology that we use are; some computer programs (statistics and of qualitative data analysis) and artifacts to recorder interviews or some images (if we need take some registers). In the topic of computers programs, the technology can help us to interpret the data. Respect to this topic, the computational programs are better to analyze cuantitatives data than cualiatives data. Any ways, always the cience is trying to make us the life more easy, for this I think that in th future there will more more tecnology to our disposition.

So, the anthropology’s job is search better way to make tecnology, trying to optimizing resources and respecting the environment, to help people in every fields. But the use of tecnology isn’t the only problem, there are a lot or social matters, and as I said before “the anthropology has a social responsability” for this we have to work in subjects, as well as, reduce the social gap, create a more awareness about environment, eliminate abuses of the most vulnerable, contribute ideas to the authorities and institutions, recover ancient knowledge, etc. In education the conflict is serious, becuase exist a lot of differents between private schools and public schools, in the university the problem is other but also is related to Money beacuse the education it’s a business and the poor people can’t study because it’s very expensive. We have to fight to a best social system, listening the voice of persons and not the voices of the entrepreneurs, we have to work to society more self-conscious, conscious of others and conscious of their environment.
